Falcon student-athletes wrapped up another exciting weekend of competition highlighted by four volleyball wins, as well as an 8-6 win over St. Mary’s by our 3rd grade flag football boys! Of note, our 4th/5th grade girls volleyball team is undefeated and the 8th grade girls team brought home two wins this weekend. We anticipate hearing about winter sports participation from the diocese soon, so stay tuned for more information about registration. In the meantime, if you are interested in coaching please review the coaching guidelines at the bottom of this email. If your child(ren) participated in basketball or cheer last year and still have their uniform, please contact [email protected] to make arrangements for turn in.

Team Spotlights:

  • 1st/2nd Grade Flag Football SJS Student-Athletes: Kyle Cassidy (2nd), Ryan Gaffney (2nd), Allen Ruegg (1st), Lewis Ruegg (1st), William Victory (1st)
Having only two second graders on the team, the boys have risen to the challenge of playing teams comprised of only second graders. Led by Coach Denholm from IHM, this group of boys brings energy and enthusiasm to every game and always seems to be having fun. The second graders have had some nice pass plays and key flag pulls, and the first graders contribute by pulling flags and rushing the ball.
  • 6th Grade Rookie Tackle Football SJS Student-Athlete: Noah Randall
Noah has played nearly every snap this season and is a key contributor on both sides of the ball for St. Sebastian’s squad. He recorded a season high 7 solo tackles in the first game of the season and recorded his longest rush of the season (38 yards) this weekend over St. Rita.
