Our Annual St. Joseph Giving Tree will run from November 23 - December 8.   We would very much appreciate your support and prayers so we have another successful Giving Tree for the holidays. 

This year our Parish Giving Tree will support the Bright Star Books, Embrace Pregnacy Care Center, and the Peter Maurin Center.  Beginning November 23, choose an ornament from the Giving Tree in church.  All unwrapped and labeled gifts must be returned to the front doors vestibule of the church by 1pm on December 8.

Want to help double?  Purchase your gift card donations from the Gift Card Program!   If you like, you can leave your donation purchased from the Gift Card Program with our volunteer at the gift card table, and they will get the cards to the rectory.  THANK YOU in advance for supporting our Giving Programs for the Holidays!

Bright Star Books, Inc. aims to compliment and collaborate with existing early childhood development and literacy organizations in the Greater Akron region to build a sustainable community network that brings books into the homes of limited-resource children and gives every family the chance to develop a lasting love of reading and learning. Utilizing the latest developmental research, and embracing a model where community participation, capacity building, and research are critical, we seek to identify and fill gaps in existing programs so that every child - regardless of race, ability, socioeconomic status or cultural capital - has the resources needed to grow up in an environment where developing a love for reading is possible.

Embrace Clinic & Care Center exists to educate, support, and empower women and families facing unexpected pregnancies in Summit County. We provide accurate information, free services, and practical support with a holistic and compassionate approach. ​We give each of our clients the care and attention they need, empowering them to make an informed decision for themselves and their future.

The Peter Maurin Center is an outreach ministry in south Akron, Ohio. It is a place where all of God's children are welcome and can find food, drink, friendship, and God's love. Volunteers also go out into the field and to help folks survive the harshness of the weather. They are looking for hand / feet warmers, one-day Metro Bus passes, socks, hats, gloves, long underwear, blankets, sleeping Bags, tents and tarps.
