Spiritual Bouquet for Joe Rohan
Joe Rohan, a St. Joseph Parish seminarian, is approaching his Transitional Diaconate Ordination in less than a year. As he enters his 8th year of priestly formation, he is enthusiastic for a life of ministry to God’s Children: His Church.
We would like to offer an opportunity within our Parish family to create a Spiritual Bouquet for Joe to present to him at his Transitional Diaconate Ordination. A Spiritual Bouquet is a gift of prayers, sacrifices, and devotional acts that are offered on a person’s behalf. Think about a traditional bouquet that contains many different flowers of various colors and species. When arranged together and presented to someone, they create a beautiful visible sign of their care and support. A Spiritual Bouquet is the same but with prayers in lieu of flowers. Each prayer or act represents a “spiritual flower” and together they form a “bouquet”. These prayers/acts can be saying a rosary, attending Mass, novenas, chaplets, pilgrimages and sacrifices. Also, acts of charity and service should be included when offered with the intention of Joe’s ordination.
To participate, simply print the “tally sheet” (to the left) or pick one up at the Parish Office. Keep it in a place where you can be reminded to say a prayer or offer an act of charity for Joe’s ordination. His Transitional Diaconate Ordination is April 17, 2027. Beginning early 2027 we will provide “spiritual flower” cards to every participant so tally marks can be transferred over from this “tally sheet” to the card and will be returned to us so the “bouquet” can be assembled.
Thank you for helping us come together as one Parish family to pray for our brother, Joe. This Spiritual Bouquet will be presented to him at his first Mass as a Deacon here at St. Joseph Parish on his Ordination weekend next April. If you have any questions, please contact Regina Rohan at 330-928-2173 or rrohan@saintjoe.org.
