Worship Ministries

Liturgical ministries support the celebration of the Mass — the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. These ministries help to prepare and provide the liturgical sights and sounds, altar vessels, furnishings, and vestments.

Altar Serving

At St. Joseph Parish, we have male altar servers. The boys are trained in 4th grade and periodically updated. The servers are then on a monthly schedule to serve. Any boy from the parish can be an altar server. Adult servers assist the priest at daily morning masses and funerals.

Sacristan

Sacristans are on a monthly schedule to clean the sacristy. They also prepare for special events, Masses and Sacraments at the Church and Chapel.

Usher

Are you friendly and like to smile? Ushers are ministers of hospitality and have several duties; greet and assist in seating parishioners, gather the collection and distribute the bulletins. You are already at Mass, consider expanding your talents and consider being an Usher.
