First Reconciliation & First Communion

Sacramental Preparation

Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion for Second graders begins in September.  This is open to those who are at least 7 years old (2nd grade), have been baptized Catholic, and are members of St. Joseph Parish. Preparation for these sacraments includes home instruction, retreats, and catechetical meetings with parents. Information is reinforced in the curriculum in day school religion classes and PSR classes at school.

Please note that Sacramental Preparation for Reconciliation/Eucharist is separate from PSR programs, Catholic Day School, and Home School religious education programs.

First Reconciliation is typically celebrated in late November or early December.

First Communion is typically celebrated the first weekend in May.
